The Tea Master

Da Doh, the "Way of Tea" is founded on traditions and philosophies that have been passed down for thousands of years.  This traditional foundation includes the teachings and traditions that have been passed down by the Song family of Korea through current Tea Master, Edward (K.S.) Song.  The Song family brings a 400-year lineage of eastern medicine, martial arts and philosophies, which include the “Way of Tea”.  Through the guidance of the Tea Master, the traditions and benefits of the Tea Ceremony are preserved.

Song is a Doctor of Eastern Medicine (O.M.D) and Grand Master of the Song family teachings passed down today at OHTC Martial Arts Association and OHTC Health Care System.  Living and training in the mountains of South Korea, such as Kwan Ak Mountain and Jiri Mountain, provided the ideal environment for learning the benefits of tea.  While living and training with his Grandfather in the mountains, gathering herbs by hand, Grand Master Song began to understand the herbal applications of nature at a young age.  The traditional tea ceremony, its philosophies and applications are an integral part of the training that is passed on and is preserved today.

Grand Master Song began his martial arts training at the age of five under the tutelage of his father, Grand Master Jung Soo Song, and his grandfather, Grand Master Keum Sool Song.  The majority of Grand Master Song's skills were acquired from his grandfather. Due to the reputation of his grandfather in the martial arts, he was afforded the opportunity to study with other great masters throughout Asia. He graduated from college with a Doctor's Degree in Eastern Medicine (Acupuncture and Herbology) and later received his PhD in Physical Education and Traditional Eastern Medicine. Before coming to the United States, he trained both the Korean and American Special Forces stationed in Korea.

Grand Master Song moved from Korea to the United States in 1981. His first residence in the U.S. was in Washington, D.C. Being the leader of OHTCPlease Call For Any Questions You May Have! Martial Arts Association in the U.S.A., he began spreading the "Right Way" of the martial arts. He is personally responsible for producing many quality black belts and opening numerous OHTC Martial Arts Association chapters around the country. He is the author of more than twenty books dealing with all phases of martial arts, health and Eastern medicine. He is currently the Chairman of OHTC in the United States.

Grand Master Song is the highest ranking multiple degree black belt in the OHTC organization which is dedicated to the traditional and classical styles of the martial arts. He is a ninth degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, Hap Ki Do, Tai Chi Chuan Kung Fu and Shaolin Chuan Kung Fu. He is the founder (tenth degree) of Moo Sa Sool, "Martial Art of the Warrior", which consist of weapons. 

As well as being called Master by his students, he is called Dr. Song by his many patients.  The OHTC Martial Arts and OHTC Health Care System have relocated with the intention of creating the ideal environment to explore the benefits of Eastern Medicine, Martial Arts, Baduk, The Way of Tea and the all philosophies that combine to create a perfectly balanced life.
