History of Tea

India

As mentioned in England's tea history, the hunger for tea continued to grow across the world.  India's tea involvement was in part a result of England's influence.  China was exporting tons of tea to England each year.  So much tea was being imported from China that it created a very noticeable imbalance in the trade relations between the two countries.  In order to help level this balance, England began to research and develop tea plantations in India.  Thanks to this influence, India now produces tons of teas that are exported to countries throughout the world.
